Security Technical Sales Consultant

Introduction
As a Security Consultant you will be a key advisor for IBM’s clients, analysing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your security knowledge and technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client’s organization with the right IBM Security solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.

Your Role and Responsibilities
The Security Architect role is a technical presales role to support IBM Security technology sales. It requires both technical experience, broad security understanding, knowing the security challenges and alternative offerings, as well as good practical hands-on ability to perform quality demonstrations and proof of concepts. Part of this role is to be able to provide technology and sales advice to business partner teams and assist in developing new business opportunities. Additionally, candidate needs to be able to provide IBM business partners, and other IBM Business Units with technology, industry, and project insights.
This role also requires the effective articulation of IBM Security product positioning within security industry. It requires to have the ability to bring experiences to close sales opportunity in a timely manner, and to demonstrate IBM Security competitive advantages. The role requires interactions with broader CEE IBM Security, Services and Technology Teams as well as assisting in marketing at trade shows or seminars.

Be an effective and focused member of the IBM Security technical team by demonstrating the business value of IBM Security technology and demonstrating your solution suite in a clear and unambiguous way.
Helping to close deals in a timely, accurate and quality driven way as required to meet sales goals.
Capabilities to reuse available demonstration assets and create own which are demonstrating technology for an interesting use-cases.
Implement and demonstrate the various IBM Security solution sets in line with the expectations of a prospects, customer, sales team, or business partner team.
Ability to provide technical answers to RFP / RFI regarding security technology
Act as a valuable resource for IBM teams and actively help to provide security guidance on security related topics.
Develop industry and domain knowledge. Build expertise on the market where IBM Security is active in.
Be capable of installing and configuring the various products sets as needed during presales work.
Provide useful feedback to IBM Security Product groups regarding product enhancement and participate in prototype development as required.
Actively support problem resolution by effective communication with support and development as needed.
Be capable to proactively learn new IBM Security solutions and its components.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Graduated (MSc) in Informatics, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant subject.
Minimum 5+ years of working experience in IT Security
Presentation, customer facing skills
Capabilities to earn trust on customer side
Good understanding regarding IT architectures & being able to understand client operating model
Experience in security concepts with IBM Security products focus
Understanding regarding different type of technologies like EDR, NDR, SIEM, SOAR, XDR
Understanding of security ecosystem composed from different technologies
Security Certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CEH or equivalent)
Experience with other IBM software (Systems management, Databases, Application development) is an advantage
English Fluent and local language
