Reporting to the Global Business Services Leader, the Global Process Owner (GPO) CapDev, leads the capitalization process of Paysafe Group. The GPO CapDev ensures the daily operational activities, identifies efficiency opportunities, and executes projects for process enhancements. The Global Business Services organization is a critical function for the delivery of global financial services across Paysafe Group. The location for this role is in Sofia, BG.

What to Expect:
Ensure that the capitalization process is compliant with IAS 38, Intangible assets;
Drive business transformation initiatives focused on improving standardization and automation of the CapDev process
Design and implement system health metrics and KPIs to monitor the process and systems; map these against industry best practice
Adhere to Service Level Agreement (SLA) and perform/manage team to perform per the SLA
Improve management and control over the entire end to end process, removing redundant activities and focusing on added value
Drive a culture of constant improvement. Identify and implement initiatives in order to increase business-wide effectiveness and end-to-end efficiency
Preparation/Review of accounting assessments to demonstrate that the internally generated intangible assets meet all capitalization criteria;
Review and assess the developers` roles and efforts to assess the correct accounting treatment, considering the different stages of the development process;
Review and assess the Software License`s contracts to assess the correct accounting treatment;
Responsible for the monthly calculation and reporting of the capitalisation, following the established process;
Ensure that the implemented SOX controls regarding the capitalisation process are followed;
Provide information and support the external audit process regarding the capitalisation;
Assist in meeting external and internal reporting deadlines whilst maintaining the integrity of information;
Review, assess and recommend improvements to capitalisation policy and procedures ensuring appropriate documentation is in place;
Responsible for the budget and forecast of the CapDev amounts
Effectively manage the team, escalates issues and provides final decisions, and has overall responsibility for the effective performance of the CapDev function

Your Profile:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
At least 4 years’ experience in an audit or commercial environment
Excellent advanced Excel skills, MS office
Fluent English is essential
Strong IFRS knowledge
Can-do positive mindset
Hands-on, proactive, takes initiative in problems solving and is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Close attention to detail and an independent manner of working is essential
An excellent team player with the ability to build strong relationships, working across functions and with teams around the globe.
Ability to understand end-to-end processes, identify improvement & simplification opportunities and design and implement standardized solutions.
