EMEA Procurement Operations Coordinator with Spanish

Position Purpose & Summary

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement is a global organization with regional category teams in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. Along with a strong core team and procurement alignment,we are implementing new sourcing strategies to support Cargill businesses and functions. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement employees gain broad exposure to Cargill businesses as they drive tangible value for the organization.
This position will be responsible for managing and coordinating multiple procurement work processes for multiple sourcing categories and locations, including executing procurement transaction processes and managing procurement records using various tools and systems, providing location procurement support and planning, managing supplier events and relationships, and implementing sourcing strategies. Some roles will also require additional language capabilities

Principal Accountabilities

50 % Manage/execute procurement transaction processes:

Purchase Order Processing:
Review approved requisitions and generate purchase orders
Issue purchase orders to suppliers and send out confirmations
Manage Amendments to Purchase Orders
Create Emergency / Rush Purchase orders:
Review approved requisitions
Review the need and feasibility for Emergency/Rush PO
Find appropriate buying channels, generate purchase orders, communicate with the suppliers
Manage PO and Amendments

Provide end user support (e.g. Expediting of goods and services):
Identify end-user support needs
Develop rules to manage end-user support
Receive support request, expedite the request and escalate if needed
Establish and maintain end user support system
Solicit feedback from users
Review feedback and capture recommendations
Perform discrepancy resolution
Identify sources of discrepancies
Communicate with relevant stakeholders
Perform root cause analysis
Resolve discrepancy
Assist with process improvement efforts

25% Provide procurement support & planning:
Prepare basic summary reports in order to inform procurement and strategic sourcing teams.
Inform internal plant/location staff on procurement process, procedures, and requirements (e.g. Select Suppliers, after the fact purchase orders etc.).
Facilitate the implementation of administrative activities in alignment with strategic sourcing strategies and policies
Assist more senior team members on maintaining on-going tracking mechanisms for basic performance metrics, reporting on value captured at the local level.

20% Manage supplier events & relationships :

Source Low Value Ad hoc orders / Text Buys:
Review approved requisition
Verify if items are covered by any existing contract
Verify RFP thresholds
Identify supplier and generate purchase order
Contact supplier and take actions to research basic variances with supplier contract terms and conditions (such as on-time delivery, quality of materials/goods, adherence to specifications, etc.)
Work with applicable plant/location staff to research and resolve routine supplier issues; escalate more significant issues to higher level procurement staff and/or Strategic Sourcing organization as appropriate.
May lead requests for procurement of non-contracted materials/goods, services and/or supplies which are considered non-leveraged, local spend (as defined by Strategic Sourcing policies) including:
Gathering general internal spend data
Collecting routine supplier bids and performing basic analysis of results (e.g. determining best cost alternative from multiple supplier quotes)
Ensuring spending compliance

5 % Inform & Implement Sourcing Strategies:

Under general supervision, facilitate the implementation of administrative activities in alignment with strategic sourcing strategies and policies across the sourcing lifecycle
Assist more senior team members on maintaining on-going tracking mechanisms for basis performance metrics, reporting on value captured at the local level.

(*) these are the general center percentages, as the team of Procurement Operational people will be large, percentage may differ per individual


Minimum Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor degree or equivalent by experience
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a similar position
- Proficient computer skills including Windows (Excel, Outlook ,PowerPoint)
- Detail oriented, multitasker with strong problem solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong administrative, internet search and filing skills
- Effective inter-personal skills in dealing with all levels and departments within the company
- Customer service skills and orientation
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both in speaking and writing

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in finance, supply chain, procurement, or related
- Experience with Maximo/SAP or other ERP Systems
- Basic understanding of procurement requirements and standards
- Purchasing Experience
