Customer Service Representative
Purpose and Impact
The Customer Service Representative will administer customer service activities for a multi-site team. You will optimize and monitor shipping and returns, process complex orders, and resolve order or delivery issues. In this role, you will also manage customer/vendor contracts, process raw material supply flows, and coordinate trade execution activities to ensure timely fulfillment of contractual obligations and consistent communication with stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
Maintain systems and relationships that meet customer demand forecast, as well as other databases related to shipments and inventory management.
Inform customers about order status, invoices, contract balances, and other information needed to complete the sale.
Coordinate logistics/scheduling activities with all relevant stakeholders such as planners, production facilities, third-party storage locations, trucking or barging companies, surveyors, etc.
Process standard document requests and other ad hoc requests of higher complexity and confirm final shipping and quality documentation and specifications to customers, including quality finalization process with customers/vendors.
Active role and ownership in cost management and stock reconciliation process.
Provide support to improvement projects and commitments requiring a basic understanding of customer service practices, procedures and execute customer service strategies.
Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Fluent English
Advanced Excel Skills
Relevant work experience in Customer Service and/or Supply Chain
Preferred Qualifications
International trade/shipping experience
Data analysis, CI mindset
Project management skills
Power Automate, Power BI, Python knowledge a plus
SAP (ACM) knowledge a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills to make good and timely decisions in a fast changing environment
Excellent communication skills
Strong stakeholder management abilities
High agility and accountability
