We are currently working with our partner Covance by LabCorp on building their brand new Integrated Accounting Services Center in Sofia.

On behalf of Covance by LabCorp, we are currently looking for General Accounting Specialists to join their team.

Job Requirements:

• Provide guidance in line with the designed process and manage escalations as needed

• Allocate to optimize efficiency while having the flexibility to work across time zones

• Review journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by analysts and corresponding supporting documentation, as well as prepare select Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations

• Report monthly metrics to management and provide explanations related to variances in financial statement analyses

• Manage the timely and accurate completion of assigned close activities and resolve issues as needed

• Respond to ad hoc requests and maintain assigned service levels with Segment, BU, and corporate contacts

• Monitor individual performance of direct reports, provide guidance where appropriate, and incorporate feedback received from Segment / BU / Corporate Controllership and promote continuous development within the accounting team

• Observe the effectiveness of policies, procedures, and controls actions taken to minimize risk and take corrective action if necessary

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the general accounting function

Minimum Requirements:

• 3 - 5 + years of business experience within Accounting with increasing responsibility

• 1 - 3+ years of supervisory experience

• Professional certification (CPA) and advanced Accounting degree preferred

• Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate direct and indirect reports

• Adhere to a pro-active approach, with the ability to problem solve, and interact professionally with internal and external clients in order to meet everyone’s needs in an effective and timely manner

• Demonstrate ability to plan, multi-task and prioritize

• Proficient in Excel and Word (intermediate level)

• Previous experience with ERP system (PeopleSoft preferred)

• Problem solving skills

• Experience working with a global team

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of US GAAP principles and internal control environments
