R and D Packaging Project Manager

We are looking for a R&D Packaging Project Manager.

Role overview:

As a Packaging Project Manager, you will have to successfully lead the projects related to new packaging Research &Development. This is a position located in our growing Research and Development Department at HDT (Hygiene disposable and tissue) business unit.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Research and development of alternative printing and packaging materials, technologies, suppliers according to the market trends and company needs.
• Operational responsibilities for execution and tracking the process of receiving and testing new packaging & palletization materials.
• Actively participates in developing new packages jointly with other departments & external partners.
• Initiates & leads projects for optimizing the quality, technology, and the cost of printing and auxiliary materials.
• Possess knowledge in detail about the characteristics, properties, materials, and technologies for production of flexible packages.
• Responsible for the packaging materials’ quality.
• Leads the process of solving technical problems with the packaging materials.
• Knowledge and analysis of major competing products in comparison with company products.
• Administrative and technical responsibilities:
o Responsible for the packaging final parameters.
o Updates service information on the packages, technical specifications, and logistic information of the products.
o Together with Print specialist attends & approves the first print of the new packages or new suppliers, making sure that the packaging meets all requirements.

The role will be a perfect match for you if you have:

• Expert level of working with graphic software (Adobe Creative – Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Work experience in packaging, prepress files, or similar
• Work experience in manufacturing and packaging machinery
• Excellent knowledge of English
• Education in Polygraphy, Construction, Industrial Design, and Engineering Education will be considered as an advantage
• Well-organized with personal & project tasks
• Excellent team-player and communicator
• Eager to learn and develop knowledge in variety of areas
• Objective and well-grounded
• Good analytical skills

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical and/or Economic science.
• At least one-year experience in leading projects involving technical data
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office Package (Excel and Word)
• Excellent knowledge in English – both written and spoken
• Driver’s license
• Experience in the printing industry
• Practical knowledge of the different printing technologies
• Experience in production, sales or R&D of packaging and/or logistic materials
• Expert level of working with graphic software (Adobe Creative suit) is an advantage
