Commodity Buyer Team Leader

We are looking for a Commodity Buyer Team Leader for our Supply Chain Dept.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Manage and coordinate the process of planning, ordering, and delivering production materials based on the production needs or customers’ requirements during the NPI and mass production phase

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning of materials:
• Optimizes the planning of materials based on the required volumes in MRP;
• Optimizes stock level of materials, reviews, and reports for optimization of SAP parameters;
• Controls the deliveries conformities vs open POs;

Replanning of materials:
• Reviews and analyses PO Monitor, BMR;
• Monitors rescheduling answers and apply further actions;

Management and supplier evaluation:
• Assures deliveries based on supplier capacity;
• Leads escalations related to shortage & stock level optimization;
• Executes prioritizations upon necessity;
• Guarantees the needed quantities for production with relevant Action plans;
• Analyzes problems related to suppliers rules, defines the reasons, and proposes solutions;

Cancellations:
• Performs stock analysis on 2 weekly basis and takes appropriate actions to meet the company’s requirement on days of stock indicator;
• Manages and controls cancellation executions;

Cost control:
• Monitors, controls, and reports indexes for stock level, materials in transit, obsolete, and shortage;
• Controls expenses from discrepancies in deliveries;
• Controls transport costs;

Measurements for improvements & reporting:
• Leads Buyers' coordination with Customer service representatives;

People Development:
• Responsible for manpower's competency;
• Reviews KPI of the organization;
• Reviews, rates, and approves personnel's job performance;

REQUIREMENTS:

• University Degree in Engineering or Economics;
• Very good written and spoken English (interaction with foreign suppliers);
• Computer literacy – good level of MS Office.Excel, SAP
• Knowledge and experience in logistics and supply chain – serious advantage;
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
