REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS LEADER | STAY AT HOME RECRUITMENT PROCESS
Position summary
This position is responsible for leading the Cargill Transportation & Logistics (CTL) EMEA regional operations to deliver operational excellence and drive growth for Cargill. This position leads the regional operations team(s); this leader will be accountable for delivering high quality services and shaping/leading/implementing CTL EMEA operations strategy to support Cargill business needs and CBS Spoke strategy (e.g. Russia). This leader will be accountable for engaging the team in partnership with biz for high performance, delivering high quality service consistently (trusted brand), solving problems in real time with all stakeholders and creating a culture of continuous improvement.

Service scope includes shipment execution (truck/rail/barge), freight management, freight audit payment, claims and carrier support services. The main focus of this position will be to build and sustain a high performing team, build trusted brand of high service quality and consistency, and achieve balance of service level performance and cost. In addition, this position is a member of a global operations team and the CBS Sofia Leadership Team, so sharing and leveraging CTL and CBS learnings globally is a key part of the role.

Major Tasks
Lead shipment execution (e.g. booking trucks, track and trace);
Lead carrier support service teams;
Create culture of high performance, high engagement, continuous improvement and service excellence;
Develop talent and pipeline;
Work closely with BU clients to understand BU strategy and customer requirements as well as other stakeholders across the supply chain to establish and meet/exceed service performance levels needed to support the business;
Constantly evaluate and implement ways to improve service effectiveness;
Continuously improve process and hold team accountable for executing as designed;
Deeply understand the EMEA transportation market (primarily truck) and translate this into longer term opportunities for how operations can best service this market.

Qualifications & Skills
12-15+ years in the transportation or related industry;
Shared service leadership and/or truck experience a plus;
Proven ability to execute a strategy and lead/manage service performance across multiple businesses;
Proven ability to lead teams in a high stress, time sensitive and dynamic environment with cul-tural awareness;
Comfortable maneuvering through ambiguity while still achieving clear objec-tives/requirements;
Demonstrated understanding of transportation market dynamics (fast-paced, dynamic) laws/regulations;
Master’s degree in related field;
Experience in a commercial truck line, transportation service, and/or brokerage;
Led a business with P&L responsibilities;
Process Improvement Experience;
Experience deploying transportation management technologies and processes.
