RFQ Coordinator

Position Purpose & Summary

The purpose of the RFQ Coordinator is to facilitate respective transportation sourcing events and to be the expert in CTL EMEA event processes and available tools. This process includes communication with business stakeholders, suppliers, and functional stakeholders.
This position will also provide financial support to calculate and validate value measurement per established norms.

Principal Accountabilities

30% Facilitate CTL’s e-Bidding process and technology usage. This includes ensuring input data are in an harmonized format for use in e-bidding tool, coordinating the process and providing best practice methodology and tool options to facilitate event success, e.g., RFI, RFP

30% Work with cross-functional team and data analysts to analyze supplier responses in support of supplier negotiations; help Operations Lead and EMEA Truck Lead prepare negotiation strategy materials and support communication for process.

20% Convert event information into “easy-to-use” format for internal team, distribute information to team for review, and collect and summarize Cargill supplier assessments (from event).

10% Collaborate with stakeholders to calculate realized value of sourcing events and provide analytical support to validate net savings opportunities

10% Follow up and implementation by ensuring that all event information is captured/uploaded in Cargill systems and documented for future stakeholder reference


Required Qualifications

University Degree, preferably in Business, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related degree
Fluent in English verbal & written
Proficiency in a minimum of 1 or 2 other European languages
Advanced ability in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access
Strong analytical, business process analysis and problem solving capabilities
Strategic thinking, problem solving
Self starter, initiative taking
A high level of interpersonal skills and ability to engage and communicate stakeholders
Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in a related field
Knowledge of ERPs in use (JDE OW, SAP, AS400)
Experience managing esourcing events
2 - 3 years experience in Logistics (Outbound, Transportation)
Experience in Transport Management Systems
Project management experience
Re-designing/implementing process improvements
