For their bradn new local Shared Service Center and Finance Team in Sofia, we are currently looking for the position:

General Ledger Team Manager (New Shared Service Center)

About the role:
General Ledger (GL) Team Manager will be working in the new Shared Service Center based in Sofia. This center will provide accounting services for our European entities of the company. The person will be hired as Finance manager will be responsible for Vendor and Customer Master Data, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Transactional General Ledger month end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations and providing information to the external auditors. The role will be evolving over time as transactional tasks are transferred to the new center whille implementing a new ERP system.

Main Responsibilities:
Managing and developing a new team in the New Shared service center
Assure quality throughout the FSSC and build and maintain strong controls
To offer and impose continuous improvement
Communication with internal and external stakeholders
Transition of activities to the Financial Shared Service Center from local company entities
To perform and manage the smooth expansion of services from local entities to the new center
First phase review of month end close numbers for completeness and correctness
Will act and be hired as the Finance Manager for the center.

Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of experince as a General Ledger or Manager, preferable for a small team.
Bachelor or Master degree in Finance
Solid understanding of accounting principles and processes
Proficient in both spoken and written English
Experience with a larger ERP package (SAP/Dynamics/Oracle)
Advanced Excel skills
Result oriented – initiator
Understanding of AP/AR/GL/FA/MD/CM
Experience in an international Shared Service environment
People management skills or natural born leader who strives for more responsibilities and is ready for a challenging new beginning.
