Global Shared Delivery Supply Chain (GSD SC) organization is in charge of delivering spare parts for support and direct business world-wide. HPE Global Shared Delivery is relying on those to support our customers and our channel partners.

Making sure that we deliver the right part at the right place, at the right time, at the right cost, and with the right quality is our mission. Meeting HPE contractual commitments (warranty or service contract) or direct customer expectations is our day to day business.

The way our global inventory planning systems are managed, monitored and improved is key to support inventory and cost reduction initiatives, and is essential to provide best customer satisfaction around the globe. Nothing can really be achieved if the systems are not always “ready to go”: correct timing, correct data and correct functionalities.

The Field Planning Subject Matter Expert is the person who is making sure this is happening, by driving innovation and making sure our tools and processes are always providing a best in class planning experience to the operational Planners. The SME role is also key in managing the planner’s community around the globe, providing guidance and training, gathering inputs and solving problems.

Job specifics/responsibilities:

•Lead or be part of highly complex and time sensitive projects, for all that concerns and impact Planning Operations tools, systems and processes.
•Supports our planning system with new development across the lifecycle of the various projects (Design / User Testing / Pilot / Deployment). Engage as appropriate with internal and external stakeholders.
•Be able to translate business processes and requirements into system rules; supports Business Requirement Documents and Change Requests preparation & prioritization.
•Supports system variables/parameters setup - analyze modelling results for best planning output. Validate go live scenarios.
•For any new process or process changes, own the management of change and end-user training phases.
•Establish the metrics required to measure process and business performance
•Identifies and drives cost and process improvement projects.
•Act as a community managers vs the Global Operation Planning cross-Geos community: animate forums, leads dedicated meetings, make sure all planners are always up to date regarding new processes and main changes impacting their day to day activities. Gather proposal for improvement, and ensure best practices sharing. Train when required.
•Be the main entry point within the Global Planning team organization for all topics/questions/requests related to planning


•5+ years’ experience in materials planning or Supply Chain operations
•Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
•Strong communication skills, including negotiation and influence skills.
•Leadership, coordination and Project management skills, including leading large, cross-functional initiatives that impact the organization.
•Ability to refine and structure processes, implement and leads changes
•Lean Six Sigma knowledge is an advantage
•Strong MS office skills (Excel, Visio, Power Point skills)
•Microsoft Project or similar Project Management tool
•Knowledge in the tools used in the end-to-end delivery process (SAP, OPT, Easitool, etc.)
