Job Description

We are currently lookin for a Senior Product Manager to join our Decision Analytics Team.

The primary focus of this role is to drive our Cloud platform product strategy and identify and drive the programmes of work to reduce the running cost of the platform and to continually enhance how easy it is to build on and support.

The role will be a proactive leading member and critical enabler of GDSG’s strategic plan, and achieving the associated required business outcomes whilst ensuring on-going, continuous improvements are undertaken.

The key deliverables of this role will be:
· Product ownership and leadership of the programme for cost optimization of our cloud platform
· Fully understanding the cost drivers of the platform
· In coordination with our Enterprise Architecture teams, identify and drive strategic enhancements that can be made to our architecture.
· Enhance and drive our existing programme of work focused on driving cost optimisation – currently this is focus on driving technical and architectural enhancements. As the programme evolves it may additionally include more commercial areas of focus.
· Work with our central and regional delivery teams to monitor and manage the cost drivers they control.
· Work with our software development teams to identify, prioritise and drive the delivery and use of software enhancements that drive cost optimization.
· Work with our SRE teams to define the required monitoring and management tasks.
· Product ownership and leadership of the programme for continually improving how easy it is to create solutions on our cloud platform.
· Understand the challenges of delivering on the platform – this includes implementing and managing feedback mechanisms used to identify and communicate progress on the rectification of delivery points of constraint.
· Implement a structured programme of work focused on enhancing ease of delivery.
· Work with our software development teams to identify, prioritise and drive the delivery and use of software enhancements that drive cost optimization.
· Product ownership and leadership of the programme for continually improving how easy it is to monitor, update and support our cloud platform.
· Understand the challenges of monitoring, updating and supporting the platform – this includes implementing and managing feedback mechanisms used to identify and communicate progress on the rectification of updating/support points of constraint.
· In coordination with our Enterprise Architecture teams, identify and drive strategic enhancements that can be made to our architecture to drive resilience and supportability improvements.
· Work hand in glove with our development team to help structure and drive the existing programme of work focused on reducing release management/update cycle times.
· Implement a structured programme of work focused on enhancing supportability.
- Host and run quarterly global and regional committees to track/achieve progress.
- Compile product strategy, budgeting and prioritisation to achieve cost optimisation, deliverability and supportability goals.
- Own programme reporting and support documents

Qualifications
· This is a blended role – 70% Product Mgr. / 30% Programme Mgr.
· Cloud knowledge – minimum 3 years’ experience in a cloud technology setting
· A seasoned technical product manager – minimum three years’ experience in defining and driving product strategy in a technical capacity.
· An execution mindset. A proven track record in driving change from a programme/project perspective.
· Experience in driving metric oriented change – Ideally a Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt/Greenbelt but any equivalent fact driven improvement experience will suffice
· Excellent Stakeholder engagement skills. This role has a global reach - building relationships without face to face contact is core to success.
· Working knowledge of Agile software development – experience of operating in a product manager / product owner capacity
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Demonstrated success in large, matrix organisations
