We are currently looking for ETL and BI Developer to join our team. The role should face the increased demand of BI solutions and hands-on data analytics triggered by the approval of the new Cargotec Cloud concept and subsequent developments in the BI area. The primary focus will be in applying ETL techniques integrated with our system landscape and help develop and support BI solutions that are used every day by a large user base on a global scale. This position would be ideal for somebody that is passionate about data - getting it, transforming it and visualizing it in the most insightful and valuable way. Main tasks and responsibilities:
Building analytics solutions such as company-wide dashboards (Data Studio), connected sheets (Google Sheets) and custom queries (SQL) that provide valuable insights for business users;
Build the code and logic required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Python, applying best practices for advanced data modeling and sound data warehouse principles;
Work towards the establishment of a self-service culture across the company by supporting both technical and business users with SQL and visualisations, as well as providing support, training and sharing of best practices for users;
Assess existing solutions against industry standards and suggest improvements in workflows, data pipelines and BI/reporting technologies. Ensure that developments within the industry which may be beneficial to our model are consistently assessed and evaluated for their use;
Collaborate with the Cloud Architects, Data Engineers, Finance development teams, Corporate IM solution teams and external service providers in development of new solutions and processes utilising the cloud platform and analytics/visualisation tools;
Implement data integrity and automation tools to reduce manual data preparation/validation work;
Identify additional areas of application of cloud platform and analytics/visualisation tools in the Cargotec environment;
Suggest, plan & take part in CBS continual improvement projects for process optimization, application enhancements, automation, etc.

What you’ll need to succeed:
5+ years of relevant experience in data management, ETL, data warehousing and BI Reporting. Good understanding of cloud-based data modelling, architectures and pipelines. Google Cloud Platform and Google BigQuery experience would be an advantage;
Bachelor/University degree in Computer science, other related areas or equivalent work experience;
Excellent understanding of and ability to write and debug complex SQL queries, stored procedures and functions;
Experience in using Python for data engineering is considered an advantage;
Experience as a power user of Business Intelligence systems/tools such as Data Studio, Qlik Sense, and/or Power BI;
Advanced user of spreadsheet applications;
Experience working with finance data is an advantage;
Strong analytical, problem solving and organisational skills;
Full professional proficiency of written and oral English.
