Job Description

As a Cloud Technical Consultant, you will have responsibilities covering DevOps supporting regional cross-project activities. The purpose of the DevOps activities within the Delivery Engineering team is to enable global deliver teams and Regional teams to deliver infrastructure and our product software on the ExperianOne platform. As a part of the CI/CD activities, the scope of responsibility includes enablement of new features/functionality, root cause analysis, and break/fix support of the technical components of the GDA product suite. This requires hands-on build, test, deploy, and running of the solutions via the DevOps capability.

Cloud Technical Consultant must collaborate and ensure the successful delivery of value from the software by enabling regional Delivery teams to consume, configure, use, roll out, and operate the solutions locally. This requires close collaboration with the wider Development of DevOps practice group and through representing the Delivery end-to-end lifecycle objectives within the wider (DevOps) engineering landscape.

Responsibilities:
· Environment provisioning : Upon request from the project team, the Technical Consultant will support delivery activities needed to develop a solution in Experian. This is the tasks previously done at SRE level for setup of: Bitbucket, Jenkins and potentially other CI/CD technologies
· Generation of automation components: you will adapt or support the existing pipelines to the region/team needs if required. You will also work on creating reusable components that could be used across multiple projects within the region or team. The intention is to ease the operational IT processes through automation and creating the tools for self-service around:

o Solution versioning & build

o Solution Deployment

o Solution Testing

o Solution Release

o Solution Distribution

o Solution Monitoring and Alert
· Stack maintenance: Environment Provisioning in collaboration with Experian infrastructure support team, as required including identifying and collaborating with extended teams to ensure the process and activities are optimized.
· Contribute to delivery excellence and continuous improvements related Dev/Ops, interface and bespoke development within delivery lifecycle. This can be done by providing technical expertise and inputs to both internal Experian Global Team and regional stakeholders.

Qualifications

Requirements:
· 3+ years of experience in cloud technologies and containerization. Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes/EKS/etc across Cloud Provider such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
· Hands-on ownership of CI/CD activities across Continuous Integration, Continuous testing, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Delivery, and Configuration Management using tools such as Git/Jenkins/Ansible/Terraform/etc.
· Working knowledge of Alerting & Monitoring using tools such as Greylog/Grafana/Elasticsearch/Splunk, Logstash, and Kibana.
· Excellent experience and knowledge of REST & SOAP webservices, XML, JSON, Swagger and ETL processing.
· Familiarity with software that has been developed in Java, Groovy, and C/C++, in UNIX and Windows environments with the ability to apply this working knowledge to effectively execute technical consulting activities or provide guidance.
· Familiarity in designing technical architecture to support solution software; environment scaling/sizing, separation of environment layers (web/app/DB), software administration
· Familiarity with testing tools; Selenium, Cucumber, Junit etc
· Working knowledge and experience on relational database (i.e. Oracle, PostgreSQL and SQL Server) setup for on-prem and cloud-based software solution deployment.
· OS administrative experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux (SLES, Red Hat, Oracle, CentOS, Ubuntu).
· Knowledge in integration technologies (TCP/IP, Web services, Kafka, MQ, ODBC/JDBC, file manipulations) in multi architecture (SOA, MOA, SaaS, EDA).
· Networking and security experience (TCP/IP, Firewalls, load balancer, ingress connection) required for troubleshooting of issues.
· Advanced knowledge of Software solution delivery and industry best practices
· Excellent communication and ability to influence across a matrix organization with an ability to craft delivery content/assets to highlight value propositions and solution options
