Network Operations Engineer

In Sofia, a new technology and innovation hub is emerging - backed by a global leader in IT and business consulting. On behalf of our client, Manpower is looking for an experienced Network Operations Engineer to help build the foundation of this growing center.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with teams in Germany and Bulgaria, contributing to the creation of new services, tools, and processes while supporting high-impact international projects. As part of the Managed Services team, you’ll ensure the stability, security, and performance of complex network infrastructures. Your work will involve incident management, monitoring through Icinga, designing and documenting LAN/WLAN environments, optimizing network topologies and security, handling firmware and patch updates, and supporting both colleagues and clients. You’ll also manage firewall and load balancer systems and take part in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

To feel confident stepping into this position, you should bring 5 - 8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network operations and a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a completed IT apprenticeship. Deep expertise in Subnet & VLAN Management, routing and switching protocols, and automation tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, and Python will give you a strong advantage. Knowledge of wireless technologies, strong communication and mentoring abilities, B2-level English and German, and a clean criminal record are also essential.
