Intern- Network Specialist (Technical University 2025)

We are looking for a Intern- Network Specialist to join our mission to create a #CyberFit future and protect all data, applications and systems across any environment.

Data Center Monitoring team in Sofia is part of Acronis Global Data Center Operations department and providing expertise in alerts and events handling, automation, alert analysis, incident and problem management.

Using different monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana etc.) we are detecting and analyzing events based on the preconfigured metrics for a variety of services and systems which are based on RHEL Linux, Virtuozzo, Kubernetes and our own virtualization solutions. We provide the initial troubleshooting for all Acronis Cloud based services and Infrastructures and escalating events to a different teams inside Acronis when needed. As Monitoring team we are also involved in all ongoing system and infrastructure maintenances, providing support during their execution.

We are involved in the development, support and maintaining of the Monitoring instruments and tools. We are integrating automation in our daily work. Monitoring Team is involved in new data center installations.
We are working on shift rotations and covering 12x7 support.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify system, application and network issues within Acronis Cloud Data Center Environment

Triage events as they occur and take the appropriate actions

Perform an initial alert troubleshooting following provided guides

Follow company's Incident Management procedure including escalation when needed to appropriate team and bring engineers to the Incident via messaging them or via a phone call

Follow company's communication protocol to inform Customer Support, Leadership and Customers the status of the Cloud Environment

Follow company's Problem Management procedure including Root cause analysis, controlling the quality of the provided information in the reporting system, track and follow internal escalations

Follow company's Change Management procedure including execution and creation of automation scripts, execution of simple Linux tasks, assisting in creation and maintaining of instructions

Make procedures and automation recommendations based on recurring events

Creating and maintaining of automation tools and procedures

Manage overall operations and infrastructure of remote data centers by deploying and maintaining software components and monitoring system performance

Creation and maintaining of internal procedures

Evaluate and recommend new approaches and practices, future software needs and automation tools

WHAT YOU BRING

Good skills in Linux environment, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, patch maintenance, security, and recovery. Good knowledge and navigation skills in Terminal environment is a must.

Basic development skills. Python, Ansible and JavaScript are advantage.

Basic Networking skills and administration of network services.

Knowledge of management of virtualization environments, i.e. Kubernetes, Linux Kernel-based hypervisors (KVM, Virtuozzo) is an advantage.

Fluent English is a must

Good communication skills

Previous experience as part of Monitoring team is advantage
