Job Description

We are currently looking for a Configuration Analyst to help ensure the integrity of the data is kept to a high standard. They will be responsible for governing data for all CI in the business throughout their full lifecycle. Assisting the Configuration Manager to deliver the Configuration Management Strategy.

What you will be doing:

· Assisting to maintain and adhere to company policies, processes and procedures in relation to the CMDB, In line with standards and industry best practice.
· Assisting Configuration Manager to implement the CI life cycle strategy; liaise with Supplier Management, IT Request and other internal IT teams in day-to-day activities.
· Providing KPI/Metric information and standardized reporting on a regular basis, as well as ad hoc in line with business requirements
· Keep updated and work with continuous improvements of the existing documentations
· Work with Discovery teams to ensure the discovery of CIs
· Ensuring completeness of the CMDB and that the content contained is accurate and up to date
· Prepare and complete periodic audits for hardware and software management against data held in the CMDB
· Assist Configuration Manager to deliver against IT Asset Management (ITAM) project deliverables, working with the relevant IT teams and suppliers where required to provide/collect data and co-ordinate activities
· Assess situations, issues and opportunities and escalate when appropriate
· Promote Configuration Management good practice throughout the business
· Promote training sessions and workshops for IT Teams and Business Units
· Build and Maintain Service Maps

Qualifications

What you'll need to bring:

· 2+ years experience with ITSM tool, preferably Service Now
· ITIL v4 Foundations Certificated will be considered beneficial
· Knowledge on Business Intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI is an advantage
· Experience with analyzing and presenting accurate data to management that will be used to make key business decisions
· Understanding of/experience in Service Management processes and ITIL, especially IT Asset Management Lifecycle processes (including hardware and software)
· Knowledge of/experience in the technologies that support Configuration Management (CMDBs, auto-discovery, SAM tools)
· Solid experience with other ITIL processes besides Configuration Management like Incident, Problem and Change Management
· Strong Excel (Dynamic Tables, Procv, Macros) & analytical skills is must
· Ability to confidently engage with all levels of the organization to produce desired results
· Excellent attention to detail; ability to identify discrepancies and drive the same to closure
· Excellent verbal and written English
