Technical Specialist - Corporate Events

We are looking for a person who will be part of the global IT Team, working in a high paced environment to manage corporate events under constant changes and iterations

This position is responsible for the technical planning, coordination, setup and hands-on execution of small to large-scale onsite/online corporate events, both internal and external, to ensure a smooth and successful event from all technical aspects, and deliver maximum client satisfaction for all corporate events.

These events can be Acronis-led or under close partnership with our affiliates or partners. The events range from corporate town halls, key business meetings, company dinners, product launches, press events, partner summits, trade shows, tech talks, meet ups, etc.

This is a technical position that requires both personal hands-on execution as well as managing external vendors/contractors. The specialist is expected to be able to manage and execute smaller scale events on their own, while leveraging on and managing teams of external vendors/contractors for larger scale events. Candidates not keen on a hands-on role will not be suitable for this position.

Occasional regional and global travel to support live events will be required.

As part of this position, there will be a chance to work with interesting Acronis partners such as renowned sports clubs, Motorsports teams, and media personalities and to experience exciting events such as Formula 1 races in person.

• Work closely with the global Events team to ensure the successful technical execution of all corporate events
• Formulate and assess the technical requirements for corporate events based on input from the global Events team and other key stakeholders
• Creatively apply technical expertise to deliver on event requirements, utilizing available in-house or venue-provided equipment, while working around any situational constrains and challenges
• Manage and setup technical equipment (audio/video/imaging/lighting) required for corporate events
• Be involved with event space/layout/configuration planning and execution
• Manage live streaming (Zoom/YouTube) of corporate events
• Manage and support corporate Zoom meetings/webinars
• Manage and coordinate logistics for event equipment
• Manage and coordinate external technical vendors for corporate events where necessary
• Constantly build upon past events and experiences to deliver a better event experience each time
• The specialist may be assigned adhoc tasks outside of their main job scope when not actively engaged in any event projects

• 2+ years of experience in similar role
• Highly proficient in the setup and operating of live and studio audio/video/lighting/projection/imaging equipment for events, such as live audio mixing/EQ, video signal processing & distribution, etc.
• Experience and expertise with online video conferencing platforms such as Zoom
• Experience with live streaming tools such as OBS, and platforms such as YouTube
• Familiar with YouTube and Vimeo video uploading workflows
• Experience with video editing is preferable
• Skilled in operating still and video cameras
• Able to work with cross functional teams across multiple territories and time zones
• Able to creatively and effectively communicate with those who may not speak a common language
• Basic PC troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve basic PC issues is a plus
• Basic computer networking skills to setup and configure networking for event equipment is a plus
• Able to manage core responsibilities individually, while collaborating effectively with internal and external counterparts as well as key stakeholders
• Be physically fit as this position may involve lifting and moving of event equipment
• Possess a never give up attitude to make things work through sheer ingenuity and determination
• Be extremely detail oriented to ensure that nothing gets left out, while also able to grasp and manage the bigger picture
• Suitable past experiences include live sound technician, broadcast technician, A/V technician, video conference technician
• At least Upper-Intermediate English
