Position Title: Technical Support Analyst

Job Description

As a Technical Support Analyst, you will be supporting one of Experian’s Flagship Fraud detection products in a growing application support team which will be focused on providing second line support to our government and corporate clients, ensuring high system availability and performance of systems and solutions

You will be responsible for all technical aspects of new system builds, implementation of changes to live client systems via Change Control and for managing rollout of existing and future software versions. Working closely with Global Delivery and Support, and the Product Development and Business Support teams, to ensure the highest level of support is achieved.

The team also provide out of hours support to our clients as part of an on call rota.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnosing complex IT problems, implementing workarounds and resolving incidents in a timely and professional manner;
Proactively managing the assigned incident queue(s) and handling user and system generated alerts/incidents;
Implementing changes into live environments;
Monitoring the performance of our computer systems, proactively identifying potential issues and determining resolution plans;
Carrying out system upgrades, patching, maintenance as required;
Providing ad hoc support to the core IT teams (Development, Infrastructure Analyst, IT technicians, Network team) to ensure the successful transition of new capabilities into the live environment;
Supporting system program and application changes/upgrades to proactively meet the developing requirements of the business;
Job requirements and qualifications


Experience in UNIX (Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX), LDAP, Windows
Unix/Linux Scripting (Ruby, Perl, Python, bash)
Understanding of Relational Databases in Oracle
Working knowledge of SQL
Understanding of XML/JSON, usage and integration within web services
Ability to troubleshoot basic Networking issues
Highly motivated, consistently takes initiative; demonstrated ability to work independently
Ability to read and interpret debug and server logs
Ability to work effectively with remote virtual teams
Excellent communication skills in English – both oral and written

Unit testing and automated testing tools
Knowledge of deploying secure web applications on a JAVA/Linux infrastructure (CentOS/RedHat) with the following integrations possible: Apache Tomcat, Docker, Zookeeper, NGINX
Systems and application monitoring experience
Experience in supporting Multi/Single tenanted application environments.
Experience with DevOps Tools - Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Git, Salt
Security + Certification or equivalent - Java Keystores/Security keys
Atlassian Suite (JIRA and CONFLUENCE)
Familiarity with performance monitoring tools - Dynatrace
Experience of Splunk, similar tool or Business Intelligence is a plus
Degree educated or demonstrable experience in industry
