Position Title: Application Support Analyst

We’re currently looking for an Application Support Analyst to join our Sofia based Application Support team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a growing application support team building a new team in Sofia. As an Application Support Analyst you will be responsible for providing second line support to our External and Internal clients, ensuring high system availability and performance of Experian’s identify and fraud products.

The expanding role and variety of technical challenges that emerge daily ensures that your day to day tasks are rarely the same and offer great opportunities for innovation and experience within a FTSE 50, market leading organisation.

You will be exposed to multiple applications across thousands of servers with varying technologies and both Windows and Linux OS. You will interact with teams across the globe including server and networking teams, and work with these teams towards resolution.

Direct client interaction is a key part of this role to deliver excellent service and manage customer expectation effectively. You will provide accurate communications direct to customers and work to an SLA. It is important to take ownership of workload and properly manage time.

Responsibilities:
Owning, managing and resolving 2nd line application and technical support calls within SLA
Successfully contributing to wider initiatives and projects through team collaboration and individual expertise
Demonstrating good skills in one or more key areas of Technical or Infrastructure management aligned to the ITIL Framework
Ensuring high availability and performance of all hosted and deployed solutions
Day to day management, proactive monitoring and maintenance of UK Hosted solutions
Technical contact for new client deliveries within project timescales
Deployment of major and minor bespoke software releases
Following processes and changing control to ensure service consistency
Automation and innovation of key tasks
Taking an active role in on-call rota and out of hours support
Working within a multi-function business and team structure
Delivering excellent client service and support

Requirements:
Ability to learn and pick up new skills quickly
Good sysadmin-level understanding of Windows 2008, 2012 and 2016 server operating systems and applications management, or Linux operating systems
Good understanding of IIS Webserver or Apache Tomcat
Good understanding of XML, its usage and integration within web services, with experience with SOAP being advantageous
Good understanding of networking fundamentals
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, demonstrating a fundamental understanding of how systems are interconnected at various different levels
Excellent communication skills both internally and externally, by phone and email
Fluency in English both written and verbal
Degree-educated or demonstrable equivalent
Exposure to Splunk and Dynatrace is beneficial
