Head of R&D

We are looking for Head of R&D.

Main responsibilities:
Leadership of the R&D team in LBG, coaching, competency improvement;
Hiring and training of team members;
Work with Product Management supporting the new product strategy and roadmap;
Resource allocation and capacity planning for new projects;
Input to Industry R&D core management team and LBG management team;
Input to and leadership of continuous improvement initiatives;
Sharing of information between project teams and sites;
Ensuring compliance with processes and Standards including internal and external Audits;
Management of R&D suppliers such as sub-contractors and technology providers;
Interfacing to universities and technical institutions for technological development;
Customer support for quality issues or during new product development.

The profile:
Degree in Electronics, Software or Mechanical Engineering;
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Industrial device or component development ideally high-volume environment;
Minimum 5 years’ team leadership experience, ideally within a matrix organization;
Knowledge of transducer applications in power electronics applications such as drives, traction, inverters etc.;
Experience of international R&D organizations and Product Development Process;
Industrialization of high-volume products; Project Management and controlling;
Product Management and International Standards experience;
Digital electronics knowledge (microcontroller);
Analogue Electronics and Mechanical design and materials (plastics/metal parts);
Advanced MS Office and English language skills (Bulgarian and French a strong advantage);
