Position Title: Senior Financial Analyst
As our teams are growing we are now looking for Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team.
The primary objective of the Senior Financial Analyst role is to provide the region with support across management and general accounting, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and the conversion of data into management information.
What you’ll be doing?
Manage Month-end, Forecast and Operating Cash Flow processes in accordance to internally provided guidance and deadlines
Ensure all financial data is complete, accurate and all transactions are consistent with Experian’s accounting policies and IFRS.
Provide variance analysis and commentary
Act as a main point of contact and support to internal and external finance and/or business partners, tax and audit consultants
Work independently and proactively with constant focus on accuracy and deadlines management
Being proactive in identifying and flagging potential issues before they arise
Provide guidance and support on key processes along with solutions to address improvements to the processes
Exercise governance and control of processes and deliverables
Act as a reliable partner by providing support on governance to finance partners and functional operations in line with the target operating model of the function
Review or provide pre-defined (monthly, quarterly and annual) and ad hoc management information reports, ensuring work is completed in an accurate and timely manner. Scrutiny and alignment of data from a variety of sources to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting
Assembling, analysing and reporting financial information in response to requests from the wider finance function and the business; ensure transparency to internal and external stakeholders and report on key KPIs
Lead on development and control of the annual operating budget within the assigned region / area, aiming to ensure that all financial targets are met and that financial and statutory obligations are complied with. Identify the most effective strategies to deliver cost savings/efficiencies across the area of support, balancing EBIT and with revenue growth, capital expenditure, prioritisation of major projects and business case reviews.
Work within and support the framework of policies, procedures and standards which supports the delivery of accountabilities/responsibilities.
Comply with appropriate information security, resilience, business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements.
Act with due skill, care, diligence and integrity in carrying out all finance duties
What you’ll bring?
+ 4 years of general financial accounting and financial planning & analysis experience gained in a multi-national business in a complex, matrix environment in accordance with IFRS
University degree in Accounting, Finance or Finance & Business or relevant numerate science
(ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Qualified or in progress
Highly logical, numerate with an unfaltering attention to detail
Logical thinker with the ability to turn complex inputs into simplified outputs
Very good understanding of financial management information
Presence, gravitas and ability to influence senior stakeholders in and outside finance
Flexible and amenable mind-set, comfortable with ambiguity
Demonstrable ability to work in a fast paced environment as part of a collaborative team
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders across diverse groups and across different countries
Able to prioritize own tasks and supports other more junior team members with their tasks
Written and verbal fluency in English is essential
