Position Title: Financial Analyst - UK&I, ECS

As part of the growth of our Finance Centre of Excellence we’re currently looking for an experienced professional to join the team as Financial Analyst. The main purpose of the role is to provide the UK&I and EMEA regions with support across management and general accounting, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and the conversion of data into management information.

The successful candidate will work within a team of Financial Analysts undertaking a broad range of financial and accounting tasks for the business including month-end activities, forecasting, budgeting and financial analyses. He/she will be directly engaged with finance and business stakeholders to develop reporting and insights that inform management decision making.

Contribute to the delivery of month/year end close activities for a dedicated business area part of the ECS business by:
Ensuring financial data is complete, accurate and all transactions are consistent with Experian’s accounting policies and IFRS
Owning selected balance sheet accounts and providing detailed, complete and informative balance sheet reconciliations/analysis
Ensuring main business costs are under control (labour, data and royalties, computers, T/E, etc.)
Understanding internal/external cost recharges
Prepare MI reporting in line with timetable and provide insight into the results of the business for key stakeholders and clearly articulate the drivers for variances to budget and forecast
Produce accurate monthly cost forecasts and annual budget where the key assumptions and drivers are clearly understood
Analyse transactional data to understand the key performance drivers of the businesses and translation of these trends into a tangible future impact on the business
Provide analysis on revenue by product and profitability and ensure proper recognition and classification
Work closely with Finance Partner and Senior Business Partner as well as business leaders to understand revenue and cost drivers and help implement business optimisation and efficiencies
Work proactively to identify and drive opportunities for process improvements within finance and the wider business
Collaborate with local and global finance teams – CoE, SSC
The successful candidate will have:
University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or other relevant science
At least 3 years of experience with general financial accounting in a multi-national business environment in accordance with IFRS
Good understanding of financial management information
Ability to be proactive and work independently, with the skill to adapt and drive change where necessary
Technical accounting skills and proficiency with Excel
Knowledge of systems such as Oracle, Hyperion and OBIEE will be considered as advantage
Highly logical, numerate individual with an unfaltering attention to detail
Strong stakeholder management skills
Fluency in English
