Our client is a start-up electronic money institution. On their behalf, we are currently looking for an experienced professional with strong banking background to join their team as an Internal Control Specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Identification, assessment, management and control of risks in the company in a reasonable balance with the operational efficiency of the internal management structures and processes;
• Ensure the accuracy, reliability and timely availability of the necessary financial, management and regulatory information
• Ensure that employees’ actions comply with policies, standards, procedures and applicable laws and regulations;
• Participate in the development of processes within the company in accordance with the goals and risk appetite of the company;
• Serve as a basic interface with the regulators and legislatures that address the company
• Develop and implement a flexible annual audit plan to assess emerging risks, significant organizational changes and services, processes, operations and any risk or control considerations. It should be implemented on a risk-based methodology and agreed with the MB.
• Submit periodic reports to the MB and the shareholders with the results of the audit activities and the status of implementation of the company’s action plans;
• Responsible for conducting special investigations regarding potential fraud, which may be on its own initiative, as well as for the occurrence of fraud and other risk-related events within the company

Requirements:

• University degree in the field of finance or business;
• Strong previous reccord within Internal Control operations;
• Previous experience within the banking industry is a must;
• Excellent command of English language;
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
• Experience with stakeholder management;
• Strong attention to detail;
