Data Governance Expert, Sofia / Varna

General duties:
Maintain Data & Analytics Operating Model, including list of data domains, governance roles and responsibilities. Ensure support and coordination for data domains roll-out and progress.
Maintain and secure implementation of data governance policies, rules, and processes at bank level. Maintain and apply data quality rules and standards.
Interact with data owners and data stewards for each domain to achieve defined goals. Provide guidelines to identify and prioritize critical data elements.
Support Data Stewards in defining key quality indicators (KQIs) and targets for each indicator. Support implementation of data quality controls, including embedded and subsequent.
Assist in data quality issue root cause analysis and building action plans for remediating gaps. Track remediation efforts, support creation of local data quality dashboards and visualization.
Act as an escalation point for data quality issues, monitor, and report data quality at company level across domains.
Support improvements and optimization of data governance tools and applications. Encourage usage of data management and data analysis self-service tools.
Promote and coordinate knowledge sharing and culture enhancement regarding data management across DSK Bank.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in data delivery projects for regulatory, management, and business purposes.
Maintain a high level of regulatory compliance awareness across DSK Bank on data-related activities.

Requirements:
Bachelor or higher degree in Banking, IT, or related field;
Strong competences in business/ data analysis in banking environment;
Very good understanding of data quality indicators and processes;
Awareness of metadata processes and common data management tools;
Practical experience to coordinate cross-functional teams of business, IT and other key stakeholders;
Strong ability to work in agile projects;
Understanding of data security and compliance requirements;
Good SQL and database systems skills;
English - advanced level/ C1.
